Jamshedpur: The three-day Tata Motors Inter Union Volleyball League tournament began today at the Telco Volleyball Ground, with eight teams from the Tata Motors Workers Union participating in this exciting competition. The tournament, organized by the Tata Motors Sports Department, promises to showcase intense matches as teams vie for the top spot.
In today’s matches, a total of six games were played, featuring teams from different units of Tata Motors. The competition started with an intense match between Prima and Punch, where Punch emerged victorious with a 2-0 win. The second match saw Signa taking on Tiago, with Signa securing a hard-fought 2-1 victory. In the third match, Safari dominated Nexon, winning 2-0. Harrier clinched another 2-0 victory against Tigor in the fourth match, followed by Punch defeating Nexon 2-0. In the final match of the day, Tiago triumphed over Harrier with a 2-0 scoreline.
The tournament was graced by the presence of key officials, including ER Head Soumik Roy, Administration Head VN Singh, President Gurmeet Singh, and General Secretary RK Singh, who were the chief guests for today’s event. The tournament is expected to continue with more exciting matches over the next two days, as the teams aim to showcase their volleyball prowess and secure their spot in the finals.
