Tata Motors honours blood donors

Jamshedpur, Sept 23: Tata Motors today honoured its employees who had donated blood, with trophies and certificates.

Tata Motors� Plant Head AB Lal was the chief guest at the function while the guests of honour included Ruchi Narendran, Telco Workers Union president Amlesh Kumar and general secretary Prakash Kumar. They honoured the blood donors with trophies and certificates.

Blood Bank presented a memento for the Best Corporate Award to AB Lal.

In his address AB Lal said that thousands of lives had been saved through blood donations made by the company�s permanent and temporary employees. He also announced that henceforth, the facilities being provided to the permanent employees after blood donation would also be extended to the temporary workers also.

Ruchi Narendran, Amlesh Kumar and Prakash Kumar has words of encouragement for the blood donors. Bhaskar Chatterjee organized the program. Shatrughan Singh anchored the proceedings and the vote of thanks was offered by Keshav Mani.
CO TML Drivelines Sampat Kumar, Pravee3n Kumar Kaushal of TML, TMLDL Union president MN Rao, general secretary RK Singh, executive president of of Telco Union Gurmit Singh, treasurer Prakash Kumar Vishwakarma, official Ajay Bhagat, Subhash Roy and Red Cross officials Vijay Singh, Dr ML Ali, Sanjay Chaudhary of Blood Bank and officials and employees of Tata Motors were also present on the occasion.

Chandan Goswami has donated blood 75 times while eight employees have done so 50 times, 56 have donated 25 times while eighty have donated blood 15 times.

Tata Motors have set a target of 7,500 units of blood donation for the period 2016-�17. The target of 7,531 units of blood donation had been achieved during the last fiscal.
