Tata Motors Convoy drivers protest

Jamshepdur, Mar 12: Convoy drivers of Tata Motors staged a demonstration at the deputy labour commissioner office in Sitaramdera on Friday to protest against low minimum wage and putting one driver instead of two drivers in drivers seat of vehicles travelling long distance. 
Convoy driver leader Gyansagar Prasad  alleged that Tata Motors is paying only  Rs 310 as minimum wage for workers who have toiling hard for so many years in the company. 
The delegation also alleged before the deputy labour commisisoner that even district administration is not paying heed to their demands and seems to be allowing company management to work in a whimsical manner against the convoy drivers. 
They threatened to intensify their agitation if their demands are not met in the long run. 
The deputy labour commissioner assured the convoy drivers to held discussion with district transport officer to find out a solution to their problem.
