Jamshedpur: Tata Motors Jamshedpur today witnessed an august gathering of dignitaries and honorary guests to commemorate the 179th birth anniversary of Jamshedji Nsserwanji Tata. Employees from Tata Motors as well as Tata Group paid reverence to the Founder.
Chairman Emeritus Ratan Tata, along with Group Chairman N Chandrashekaran, MD Tata Steel T. V. Narendran and other dignitaries, attended the function. The event started with the unveiling of the founder’s statue at Tata Motors Hospital, which was specially created by Nanad Kumar Ingle, Tata Motors Pune on the occasion of 50th Year of Tata Motors Hospital, which also coincides with 150 years of Tata Group. The floral tribute was followed by a video displaying the work done over the years.
Commenting on the event Head Manufacturing CVBU A B Lall said, “Founder’s Day is very special to all of us at Tata Motors. This year being the 50th year is even more special. We also celebrated the 50th year of existence of our hospital today. It was a proud privilege to have Chairman Emeritus and the Group Chairman in our plant today. Their presence inspired all of us.”
