Tapas Sahu youngest CII Jharkhand Chairman, Tata Motors Jamshedpur plant head Vishal Badshah elected Vice Chairman


CII holds session on Emerging Jharkhand: Envisioning Jharkhand @ 2047

Jamshedpur, March 7: Tapas Sahu, MD & CEO, Highco Engineers Pvt Ltd has been elected the Chairman of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Jharkhand State Council for the year 2022-23.  His name was announced at the first meeting of the reconstituted CII Jharkhand State Council held at a city hotel on Monday.  

43-year old CEO of the Highco Engineers Pvt Ltd has become the youngest chairman of CII Jharkhand.

Tapas Sahu

Tapas Sahu is a B.E. & MBA and has 20+ years of experience in Light to Heavy Fabrication job development and Execution and Press shop Technology. 

He was the Vice Chairman of the CII Jharkhand State Council and continues to be an elected member of the CII Jharkhand State Council. He has also served as the Chairman of the CII Jamshedpur Zonal Council and Chair, Young Indians Jharkhand Chapter.   

Sahu is a Regional Council Member of Automotive Component Manufacturers Association (ACMA) and Eastern Region Executive Committee Member for National HR Council. He was awarded the Rashtriya Nirman Ratan Award from Economic Growth Society of India, New Delhi.

He is also a Visiting Faculty to various Engineering and Graduate Colleges. Mr Sahu is a 6-Sigma Green Belt holder and is involved in the design, development and manufacturing of special project vehicles of Tata Motors – Prima, T1 Racing Truck, Defence vehicles (Minusuma, Diggi etc.). Sahu has led a team to participate and win CII Avantha Competitiveness Award at the National level. He is involved in up gradation of Education Institutes (ITI & Schools) and Skill Development initiatives at local level for under privileged. Sahu has experience of Production Management and Project Implementation, hands in experience of SAP implementation in TATA Technologies Limited, PUNE. He is also involved in initiatives for the upliftment of under privileged. 

Vishal Badshah, Plant Head, Tata Motors Ltd has been elected as the Vice Chairman of CII Jharkhand State Council for the year 2022-23.

Vishal Badshah has rich, diverse experience spanning almost three decades in the field of Manufacturing and Business Management in Automotive, Engineering, and Construction Equipment organizations across geographies. Having joined Tata Motors, India’s largest automobile company, as a fresh engineering graduate, Mr. Badshah has grown and currently Heading Jamshedpur Plant. His core competencies and areas of interest are Strategic Business Planning, Supply Chain Management, Change Management, New Product Introduction, Lean Manufacturing etc. A keen problem solver, he is now spearheading the Industry 4.0 journey of the Commercial Vehicle Business Unit of Tata Motors and driving the digital Value chain.  Vishal comes with a deep understanding of business and has driven business turnaround and profitable growth. He is people motivator and believes in empowerment, communication and collaboration for ensuring sustained long term organizational performance.  He has also served as the Convener of CII Jharkhand Manufacturing & Engineering Panel and holds key roles in CII Eastern region and various other prestigious Indian automobile organizations like SIAM, INVEST, JMA. 

CII Jharkhand also organised Session on Emerging Jharkhand: Envisioning Jharkhand @ 2047. At the session senior industry leaders from different sectors deliberated on opportunities, current challenges, enhancement suggestions on EODB and Government partnerships, modernisation of existing industrial infrastructure, Promoting Jharkhand as an Industrial development, promoting Startup & innovation culture and employment generation.
