Jamshedpur, July 28: The Jamshedpur Angling Club is all set to host the much-awaited JRD Tata Memorial Angling Competition on July 29, 2025, at the picturesque Jayanti Sarovar (Jubilee Lake), marking a special tribute to Bharat Ratna JRD Tata on his birth anniversary.
Established in 1947, the club has been organising this prestigious annual event for years, blending tradition with sporting spirit in honour of JRD Tata’s enduring legacy. The one-day competition will be held from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with seat allocation done through a lottery system.
An entry fee of ₹5,000 (for two rods) was applicable, and the last date for registration was July 27. Participants will vie for attractive prizes:
1st Prize – ₹51,000, 2nd – ₹35,000, 3rd – ₹25,000, 4th – ₹10,000, and 5th – ₹5,100.
