Jamshedpur, July 8: In a significant step towards women empowerment, Jamshedpur’s Tanushree Roy inaugurated her venture, The Lam Royce Bakery and Confectionery, on Tuesday at Shastrinagar Block Number 1 in Kadma. The bakery was formally opened by noted social and cultural worker Purabi Ghosh, who cut the ribbon to mark the occasion.
Speaking at the event, Purabi Ghosh praised Tanushree’s initiative, stating, “Just as Prime Minister Narendra Modi is encouraging women to become self-reliant, Tanushree Roy’s effort is a commendable example of that vision. By bringing four other women into the business, she has created new employment opportunities and set a positive example.”
Tanushree Roy said that the bakery would offer a variety of delicious treats including veg pastries, cakes, cookies, donuts, brownies, hot dogs, pizza, and burgers. Special opening discounts were also being offered to customers.
She emphasized that the aim of the venture was not just commercial success but also to empower women by making them financially independent and providing sustainable employment opportunities.
