Take parents into confidence: Rashmi Sharma to girl students

Jamshedpur, Sept 7: A women�s awareness workshop on various sensitive issues was conducted by SHG Parivartan today in the premises of Pragati Sishu Vidya Mandir at Birsanagar. Parivartan president Rashmi Sharma while explaining issues like �Good Touch�Bad Touch,� rape, love relationships at a very tender age, prevention from epidemics stressed on several crimes against women unleashed by antisocial elements becoming the order of the day. �You should take your parents into confidence as they are your best friends and discuss everything with them,� she told the girl students at the workshop.

The chief guest on the occasion and Zila Parishad vice president Rajkumar Singh, while appreciating the good work being done by Parivartan pointed out to students about their vital contribution to society and nation and asked them to discuss the elements in focus at the workshop among themselves and make other girls aware of what they were learning at the workshop.

The School�s principal Ranjan Roy thanked Parivartan for initiating the workshop and assured of his continued support to the organization for such projects. Sanitary pads were distributed at the end of the workshop. The proceedings were anchored by theatre personality Prem Dixit. Kumaresh Upadhyay and Dipak Karua along with teachers of the school organized the workshop.
