Tagore Academy ace Wildlife Week Quiz

Jamshedpur, Sept 30: Wildlife Quiz was organised on day one of Wildlife Week Celebration 2019 at the Tata Steel Zoological Park on Monday.

The Wildlife Quiz was organised for the students of Std. 9 to 12 at the Michael John Auditorium. The event was coordinated by Dr. Seema Rani, Biologist cum Education Officer. A total of 77 teams comprising 154 students from 20 schools in and around the city participated. The students were subjected to a challenging preliminary screening test, and 6 exceptional teams made it to the final.

The Quiz Master was E.G. Khan. The names of the teams for the Final were Leopard, Elephant, Lion, Tiger, Bear and Jaguar. With the intention of raising awareness among the younger generation, and to inculcate the feeling of inclusion with the Wildlife. The questions were designed to test their knowledge of Wildlife, Biodiversity and Nature Conservation. Soham Mishra and Sayantan Bag of Tagore Academy were crowned the winner. Vaibhav Kumar and Harshil Agarwal of kerala Samajam Model School (KSMS) were declared the runners-up. Vinyas Renjal and Pratik Rajshree of Vidya Bharati Chinmaya Vidyalaya were in third spot.

Present on the occasion were Bipul Chakrabarty, Director, Dr. M Palit, Deputy Director, Dr. Sanjay Kumar Mahato, Curator, TSZP,. R Srinivas, Pratap Singh Gill,  K. Gorai and the Zoo Volunteers �  Debjani, Kamaljeet, Zoya Khan (Anchor), Sayok Sarkar, Ayesha Anjum, Shahnawaz Iqbal and Saif.
