Jamshedpur, Sept. 30: Dhanbad boys defeated East Singhbhum 3-0 to win the 19th Jharkhand State inter district junior volleyball championship at Ramdas Bhatta Centre on Sunday. The scoreline read 25-22,26-24,25-18. Hosts East Singhbhum had to satisfy with the runners-up position. In the third place match Ranchi defeated Bokaro 2-1. In the girls category Ranchi beat Godda 3-2 with the scoreline 14-25, 25-15, 22-25, 26-24,15-11 to win the title. East Singhbhum girls beat Dhanbad 18-25,25-20,15-9 to bag the third place.
Chief Guest for the final was State food and civil supplies minister Saryu Roy. Guest of honours were Munna Singh, Laxman Jha, Y Ishwar Rao. Best player of the tournament was bagged by Adarsh Ranjan (Boys) and Anushka Pradhan (Girls).
