Tablets to students from standard 9 to 12

Ranchi: Chief Minister Raghubar Das said that ensuring quality education in government-run schools is the topmost priority of the State Government.

For this Tablets would be provided to students from Std 9 to 12 in all Kasturba Gandhi Girls Schools. Besides to tide over the problem of scarcity of teachers recruitment of 34000 teachers would be done within next six months, he said.

Raghubar Das was speaking as chief guest on the concluding day function of state-level Bal Samagam 2015 at Morabadi Football Ground.

The chief minister said that the children�s meet was organized for the first time after formation of Jharkhand. He gave away prizes to the winners of the competitions organized during the Bal Samagam. The CM said that quality education is a must for building a developed country.

He acknowledged that Jharkhand needs a modern education system which would enable the students to hone their hidden talent.

Raghubar Das further said that it is also the priority of the government to provide basic amenities like toilet, electricity, drinking water and fans in all government-run schools within a year.

He stressed on the need of cleanliness of the school campus and school buildings. He called upon the teachers and students to play their part for ensuring cleanliness in schools.

He also called upon the people to extend their helping hands to make school campuses clean. He opined that the way people took after the cleanliness of their surroundings the same care should also be shown to ensure cleanliness in schools.

A memento was presented to the chief minister by Jharkhand Education Project Council.

Students of Kasturba Gandhi Girls Schools of different places presented colorful cultural programme on the occasion.
