Jamshedpur, August 13: Tata Steel’s table tennis team represented Jamshedpur at the 1st Jharkhand State Ranking Table Tennis Championship in Dhanbad held between August 7 and August 9, 2015.
The team successfully won 5 gold and 3 silver medals in the competition. Utkarsh Mehta & Hardik Narang bagged 1 and 2 gold medals respectively in the cadet and sub-junior catagories.
The female candidates potrayed their supremacy in the contest by winning 5 medals in all; Hansika Rai won silver in the sub-junior category.
Shruti Mahanand won 2 silvers in the junior and women catagories. Ishika Gupta & Chandni Kumari won gold each in the sub-junior and junior category respectively.
