Jamshedpur: �Swar Yatra�, the six annual music festival of the city-based NGO Bansi Bose Music Foundation, was held at Michael John auditorium, Bistupur, on Sunday. It was inaugurated by the chief guest, Shekhar Dey, industrialist and social worker.
Other dignitaries present during the event included Tapas Mitra, president of Bengal Club, Rajesh Michael Ekka, chief manager of UTI Mutual Fund, Jamshedpur, Dr Veenapani Mahato and Subrata Dutta. They jointly garlanded a portrait of late Bansi Bose and paid tributes to him. Tributes were also paid to late Nikhil Banerjee, renowned Sitar player of the 20th Century, and classical singer late Girija Devi.
In the first session, Srijani Basu presented Saraswati Vandana. She was accompanied by Prabir Das and Manmohan Singh.
In the second session, Omkar Dadarkar, a disciple of Pandit Ulhas Kasalkar, presented Khayal gayan. In the last session, Mita Nag impressed everyone by playing sitar.
