Swadeshi Mela to be held in Gopal Maidan from October 8–16

Jamshedpur, Aug 24: The Indian Marketing Development Centre (CBMD) and Swadeshi Jagran Manch have announced that the 18th Swadeshi Mela will be held at Gopal Maidan, Bistupur, from October 8 to 16, 2025. The announcement came during a meeting at Tulsi Bhavan, Chitragupta Auditorium, where extensive discussions were held regarding preparations for the event.

National Executive Committee member of Swadeshi Jagran Manch, Manoj Kumar Singh, said, “This will be the 18th Swadeshi Mela in Jamshedpur. After a gap of one and a half years, the fair is returning and the people of Jamshedpur are eagerly looking forward to it.”

Former convener of the fair and CBMD chairman, Murlidhar Kedia, emphasized the importance of smooth organization and proposed Ashok Goyal as the fair convener. His name was unanimously supported by all present.

The meeting was conducted by Bandeshankar Singh, while Ashok Goyal extended the vote of thanks. At the end of the session, Kedia announced the organizing committee, comprising coordinators, co-conveners and members heading various departments including construction, publicity, cultural programs, competitions, security, food and exhibitions.

With detailed responsibilities assigned, the committee aims to ensure the fair’s success, offering cultural events, exhibitions and competitions that highlight the spirit of Swadeshi.
