Swadeshi Jagran Manch organises seminar on ‘Development and Environment’

Jamshedpur, June 24 : Swadeshi Jagran Manch organised a day-long seminar on ‘Development and Environment’ to spread greater awareness on the subject. More than 200 people participated in the seminar organised at the Graduate School College for Women.

Speakers in the first technical session included environmentalist from Delhi, Deepak Sharma Pradeep,Prabhakar Singh, chairman of CII Jharkhand Start-up Panel Vishal Agarwalla and member of Adityapur Small Industries Association (ASIA).

The second technical session on pollution water sources: causes and solution’ included regional director Zoological Survey of Indian, Patna Gopal Sharma and faculty of environment and water management, KMPM Vocational College, Bistupur.

“This is part of our effort to instil civic sense amongst residents across the city. We took a pledge against using plastics and disposing waste at the designated places,” said an organiser.He said: “I appeal to men and women to refuse polythene bags and using cloth bags which can be kept in your vehicles whenever you need them. We know what plastic does to us and our planet”.
