Swachh Bharat nodal officer gives tips to municipal bodies
Jamshedpur: A Kolhan level meeting of various municipal bodies was held in a hotel at Sakchi here on Thursday in view of the ongoing Swachh Sarvekshan 2018. The nodal officer of Swachh Bharat Mission Anil Prakash reviewed preparations made by the municipal bodies of the three Kolhan districts in view of the survey. He gave tips to the special officers and other representatives of the municipal bodies for improving the ranking of the city and town represented by them. He also sought updates on toilet construction, cleanliness and various projects on cleanliness being run in the three districts.
The meeting was also attended by experts associated with the Central Urban Development Ministry and Swachh Bharat Mission, Jharkhand.
After the meeting, the officials from New Delhi and Ranchi visited the new minibus stand at Sakchi, air conditioned public toilet at Kadma and several other places for inspection. The nodal officer expressed satisfaction over the facilities available at Sakchi mini bus stand.
The officials of Jugsalai and Chakulia did not attend the meeting as survey has been completed at these two places. The participants had come from Jamshedpur, Mango, Adityapur, Chaibasa, Seraikela and Chakradharpur.
The special officer of Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee Sanjay Kumar said it was a technical workshop aimed at giving information and useful tips on various technical points of the survey.
One of the specialists from New Delhi, Sunil Kumar, said he was impressed by the level of cleanliness in Jamshedpur.
Anil Prakash said the survey team would make an assessment on 71 points.
