Chaibasa, May 6: The district election commission organised a district level Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) programme at DC office on Saturday to increase the voter participation.
A list would be prepared on Wednesday to include the name of young boys and girls aged 18 to 19 years.
During the programme BLOs, Aganbari Sewikas, Sahiyas and ward member were trained on how to fill up the application form. A photographer will be deputed in all the blocks.
In the meeting it was decided to remove the names of the persons from voter list who died during 2012 to 2016 and it was directed to make available application forms 6A, 7, and 8A in all the blocks.
The filled in application form would be submitted to AIRO, ERO who would further forward it to the election commission.
Booth wise photographs of National voters’ day should be made available. The photographs of only 5oo booths have been made available whereas the district has a total of 1284 booths.
The meeting was attended by ADC Jay Kishore Prasad, SDO Sadar Chaibasa, SDO Jagganathpur, BDOs and BPROs.
