Jamshedpur: East Singhbhum district supply department has launched a drive to conduct surprise inspection of all public distribution system (PDS) shops following the directive of Deputy Commissioner Vijaya Jadhav.
A team of officials conducted inspection of shops in Ghaghidih, Harharguttu, Parsudih, Sarjamda and Golmuri on Tuesday. Instructions were issued to the PDS dealers for updating their records and painting their shops in pink. Complaint registers should be kept in all shops, the dealers were told.
