MLA lauds humanitarian activities of Marwari community

Jamshedpur, July 16: Surabhi, the women’s wing of Marwari Yuva Manch of Steel City organized a one day workshop on ‘Small City, Big Dreams’ and simultaneously released a poster of, ‘Sanjog – Humsafar Ki Talash’ during a session organized on the first floor of Mahalakshmi Dadi Mandir in Sakchi on Friday, July 16. The chief guest on the occasion was Jugsalai MLA, Mangal Kalindi while the guest of honour was Deputy Controller of the government of India’s Ministry of Communication, CA Vivek Drolia from Kolkata.
Other guests included Sanjay Debuka, Vimal Ringasia and state general secretary Arun Gupta. The programme got underway with the lighting of the traditional lamp jointly by the guests. Saplings were presented to all the guests. The programme was organized under the leadership of Surabhi president Manisha Sanghi and conducted by programme convener Parul Chetani.
In her welcome address, Surabhi secretary, Kavita Agrawal mentioned that on Saturday, July 28, the ambitious programme, ‘Sanjog – Humsafar Ki Talash’ will vbe organized for marriageable young boys and girls where they could mingle and get acquainted with one another in an attempt to select their life partners or ‘Humsafar.’ Kavita stated that this programme will be strictly for people from the Marwari community.
In his observation, chief guest and Jugsalai MLA Mangal Kalindi appreciated the social activities being undertaken by Surabhi and assured of his support to the organization whenever required. Giving instances of the several relief measures launched by the Marwari community especial during calamities like the COVID period, Kalindi said, “This community is ever conscious and ready with help for the poor and needy during difficult times. Society looks up to the Marwari community during times of distress.”
Dream big, chase them fanatically, you will succeed: Drolia
The workshop on, ‘Small City, Big Dreams’ was conducted by guest of honour from Kolkata, Vivek Drolia. Citing the examples of late President Dr APJ Abdul Kalam and Prime Minister Narendra Modi and several other successful people who came from unobtrusive backgrounds and small townships and villages but emerged as leading personalities in various fields, Drolia said that all had the right to dream big, aim high and chase the dreams with all their efforts and like the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, they would be rewarded with what they wanted to achieve. Drolia answered several questions. The Deputy Controller of the Ministry of Communications, said, “You have every right to dream and dream big. For what you want to be the limit is beyond the sky. You have to chase the dream fanatically. There will be several odds and obstacles in your way but your determination and single mindedness will see you overcoming all barriers and a time will come when you will run ahead of your dreams and dreams will chase you.”
Among those present on the occasion were Surabhi treasurer Muskan Agrawal, convener Vinita Naredi, Usha Chowdhary, Umesh Sah, Kamal Agrawal, Suresh Kumar Kauntia, Sanwarmal Agrawal, Kailash Saraiwala and other Surabhi members.
