Jamshedpur, July 16: Irate residents of Raghubar Nagar in Burmamines protested near the main gate of the Tata Steel Downstream Product Limited (TSDPL) demanding compensation and job to the kin of the deceased driver Umesh Jha (55) a driver in the company who had died.

The protestors turned violent when police tried to forcibly evict them and created ruckus near the company gate.

The agitation was led by labour leader Rajiv Pandey who said that the agitation would continue till a suitable compensation is not paid to the dependents of the deceased driver and that the matter has been complained to the deputy labour commissioner and factory inspector. He said that the factory inspector has assured of suitable action.
