Jamshedpur, May 27: Social worker Sujoy Kundu has been presented with Ambedkar Social Service Award 2021 for his great work in community services and his constant contribution to society.
Research Scholar Sujoy was honoured with this prominent title at the 9th Convocation of Indian Academic Researchers’ Association (IARA) Kolkata wing held recently.
Resident of Khasmahal in Jamshedpur, Sujoy Kundu is also the recipient of “Best Research Scholar Award-2020” by National Org. IARA, Thiruchirapally, Tamil Nadu.
Sujoy has worked as Mukhiya for upliftment of villagers of a panchayat in Jamshedpur Block.
He has received multiple awards. Sujoy was awarded by DC Saraikela for making Chhota Gamharia ODF. He bagged appreciation letter from Executive Engineer, Saraikela for implementation of innovative IEC activities.
Excited Sujoy stated, “I am overwhelmed to receive such an honour and it is a reminder of how much contentment I feel when I support others in any way that I can. What I do for society brings me immense pleasure and satisfaction to have helped those who are in need.”
Sujoy has more than 10 years’ experience in the social development field with International and national reputed organisations and is currently pursuing Ph.D. on “Empowerment of Tribal Women through Adult Literacy” under Dept. of Social Work from Mahatma Gandhi Central University, Bihar.
