Ranchi: All Jharkhand Students Union leader and former deputy Chief Minister Sudesh Kumar Mahato will be contesting Parliamentary election from Ranchi constituency.
The decision regarding his candidature was taken during a meeting of the Parliamentary Board of the party. Sudesh will be filing his nomination tomorrow around 11 am.
Earlier, he was expected not to contest from this seat in favour of BJP�s Ramtahal Choudhary. Both Choudhary and Sudesh Mahato belong to the Kurmi community.
The division of Kurmi votes could benefit Congress candidate Subodhkant Sahay.
