Jamshedpur: Congress leader and Ranchi Lok Sabha election candidate Subodhkant Sahay today met Savita Mahato, wife of late Sudhir Mahato, former Jharkhand Mukti Morcha leader, at her residence and sought her support in the election campaign in Ichagarh Assembly constituency.
He said he needed the support of Savita Mahato in the elections as her husband had been a legislator from Ichagarh. He said Savita Mahato, being the wife of former JMM leader, should support him in line with the pre-poll alliance between Congress and JMM.
Senior All India Congress Committee leader and state Congress leader Rajesh Kumar Shukla was also present with Sahay during the visit.
