Students & teachers celebrate Yoga Day at Sacred Heart Convent School Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, June 21: Like every year, Sacred Heart Convent School, Jamshedpur with all its students, teachers and administrative department came together to celebrate International Yoga Day on Wednesday, June 21. The day was celebrated with great enthusiasm in the school premises.

Renowned yoga instructor Anamika Jha made students and teachers perform different types of Yoga like Pranayam, Surya Namaskar, Sukhasana, Meditation etc.

The session commenced with warm up exercises which was followed by all students performing sitting and standing asanas, importance of these were explained simultaneously.

Stating that Yoga is the best method to keep the body stable, to control one’s thoughts and to fill positive energy in the body,  Anamika Jha empowered the students with the benefits of practising Yoga.

“Students should practice regular yoga to remain fit and improve concentration,” said school Principal Sister Rashmita A.C.
