Jamshedpur, July 14: Jamshedpur Cooperative College witnessed unruly scenes as two groups of students clashed at the campus on Thursday evening.
The clash took place at college’s hostel where allegedly activists of ABVP barged inside the hostel and started ransacking the hostel properties and attacked the inmates.
They also used bows and arrows to attack students.
As the news of clash spread, a police party from Bistupur Police station reached the campus and detained the students.
The hostel inmates said that they were beaten up as the activists were protesting some back door admissions in the college.
The activists also attacked two bikes parked inside the hostel. Though there were reports of firing but the police have denied it. The police have also detained some of the activists for investigation.
