Jamshedpur, July 14: DC Amit Kumar on Thursday reviewed the scheduled One lakh saplings plantation programme in East Singhbhum district in one hour from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
with collective participation on Monday, July 18. DC in a meeting with DFO Saba Alam Ansari made necessary strategies to make the programme a success.
DC ordered manpower deputed to work in corresponding to Pyramid supervision system as the discipline would make the arrangements orderly. He also said that a team leader would be there for every 10 people and the forest department would be responsible for supply of plants on time and in sufficient amount.
DC ordered no loss of any saplings during the campaign and officer at every level will have to be responsible for it. Circle Officer will be present as supervisor in their areas will oversee every 200 people, while a nodal officer will be present at every location who will inform the district headquarters situated control room about the one-hour activity.
The DC informed during the one-hour campaign 25,000 saplings will be planted in Ghorabandha Theme Park area and 5000 saplings each at 15 different selected sites.
It was decided that the forest department will transport the saplings to the selected venue by July 14 and on July 18 the green campaign will be inaugurated at 9 a.m. and from 10 a.m. the drive will start simultaneously at all the places and conclude at 11 a.m.
