Jamshedpur, Nov 7: A strong demand for the issue of a party ticket to Jharkhand Pradesh Yuva Congress Committee (JPYCC) secretary Rakesh Sahu has been mailed to the Congress high command among others by the OBC Cell district president Surendra Sharma and former state vice president of NSUI Pawan Jha. It may be recalled that Rakesh Sahu had sent a letter to the Congress state president through the partys district president Vijay Khan urging him to issue a ticket to fight the Assembly elections from the Jamshedpur East VS constituency.
In a press release issued today by Surendra Sharma and Pawan Jha it was stated that Rakesh Sahu was young and belonged to the Tailik and Vaishya Samaj. It contended that Chief Minister Raghubar Das also belonged to the same community and that he had been continuing to win the VS elections from the Jamshedpur East constituency since five terms because of this factor and 35 to 40 percent of voters belonged to the Tailik and Vaishya community. Rakesh Sahu being young, he can muster sufficient community votes and beat Raghubar Das in the Assembly electoral contest, the release added.
