Jamshedpur, Sep. 4: The students of Class XI of Hill Top School organized a knockout cricket tournament for the teachers, office staff & sub staff in the school premises.
The tournament was organized as part of the Teachers Day 2017. The staff was divided into 4 teams- Striking Blues, Master Blasters, Power Hitters and Storm Riders.
In the final match of the tournament played on Sunday, team Striking Blues defeated Master Blasters to be crowned the champions.
The final was a 10 over match. Batting first team Master Blasters scored 68 in 10 overs which was chased down with ease by the team Striking Blues in just 8 overs with 12 balls to spare.
Raj Kumar scored a brisk 53 not out to power the Striking Blues to a convincing victory over the Master Blasters and also won the Teachers� Knockout Cricket Tournament.
Earlier the knockout games were held on 31st August 2017 and 1st September 2017. The Striking Blues battled it out with the Master Blasters on the Cricket field in the final of the tournament on Saturday, 2nd September 2017 after winning a close match against the Storm Riders on 1st September 2017.
The Master Blasters beat the Power Hitters convincingly on 31st August 2017 to reach the finals.
Team Storm Riders bagged the third position while team Power Hitters ended up in fourth place.
It was good to see the enthusiasm among teachers to play the game. They really enjoyed every moment of the game & wish that many more such games could be organized in the future.
