Street plays on voter awareness in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, May 9: In a bid to enhance voter turnout in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, the District Public Relations Office initiated a voter awareness campaign through street dramas. Street plays (Nukkad Natak) are being organized in and around to the sity regularly to arouse voter awareness so that citizens exercise their franchise on Saturday, May 25.

The street dramas aimed to urge voters to exercise their franchise freely and fairly, cautioning them against succumbing to any form of temptation. Panchanan Oraon, District Public Relations Officer, emphasized the importance of motivating people to vote by disseminating information in the local language.

The campaign focuses on making information about the election process accessible and engaging for voters. Various apps developed by the Election Commission, such as the Know Your Candidate app, 1950 toll-free number, voter helpline app, and Saksham app, are being promoted to provide voters with easy access to candidate information and election updates from the comfort of their homes.

Through these efforts, the objective is to encourage voters to participate in large numbers, thereby strengthening the democratic process.
