Street plays create awareness on girl child abuse

Jamshedpur: Students of Hill Top School accompanied by their teachers visited Kherbani Village near Asanboni with a message of Women Empowerment.

The students presented street plays and skits on women empowerment and domestic violence to underline the fact that even today girls are not allowed to go to school and child labour is still prominent in villages.

They conducted discussions with the villagers, who expressed their views freely on women empowerment and how both women & men are equally important in a family and in society.

The aim of the visit was to awaken people against domestic violence, girl child abuse and girls’ education. The MRA team comprising Chandeshwar Khan, Indrojeet Singh, Kishore Kumar, and Singo Murmu, Mukhiya, Luabasa Panchayat were also present during the drive.
