Jamshedpur: Whatsapp, Facebook and Twitter users should make sure they do not forward or send any provocative messages that hurt religious sentiments or disturb communal harmony. Group admin of social platforms should make sure they do not forward objectionable messages or share them with anyone.
The details of senders of such messages should be sent to the district police on its Whatsapp number 7091091825 (CCR). This appeal was made by the SSP of Jamshedpur Anoop Birtharay who reviewed police preparedness for Durga Puja and other festivals. He said the police would be keeping an eye on social media to curb attempts to spread hatred or disturb peace during festivals.
