Jamshedpur: City police here claimed to have busted a racket manufacturing and selling spurious foreign liquor. One Kishor Kumar Mahato was arrested in this connection. Cops confiscated 104 cartons of foreign liquor and a car used to transport the spurious liquor.
According to SP City, Prabhat Kumar, a police team led by DSP Law and Order conducted a raid in Sopodera Kurmi Tola under Parsudih police station area.
�The accused had kept the liquor cartons in the car and had also kept a huge amount in the toilet of his house. Several stickers bearing the logo of well-known liquor brands, cello tape and scissors were also seized from the house,� said the SP.
An FIR has been registered against the accused persons in this connection.
