Ranchi, March 26: The government told the House that yesterday during Tuesday’s procession, there was a dispute and stone pelting in Hazaribagh over an objectionable song.
Quoting the ADG’s report, the parliamentary affairs minister said that during the Tuesday procession, a dispute arose over an objectionable song at Ashok Chowk.
The magistrate tried his best to calm the situation, but when the situation did not seem to calm down, two rounds of bullets had to be fired.
The administration has deputed other magistrates as a precaution. Patrolling has been increased on the streets. The administration has also increased vigilance.
The magistrate deputed at Ashok Chowk has registered a named FIR against five Muslims and five Hindus. Apart from this, an FIR has also been registered against 200 unnamed people.
Meanwhile, BJP MLA Naveen Jaiswal said that this is an attempt to balance, whereas the FIR should be lodged against the stone pelters. His reaction makes it clear that the opposition is not satisfied with the government’s action.
