Jamshedpur, Sep 27: A 32-year-old Jaiprakash Sharma, a permanent employee at Steel Strips Wheels Limited in Govindpur, lost his life in an accident on Friday afternoon. The tragic event occurred around noon, and the company management promptly transported Jaiprakash to Tata Main Hospital (TMH), where he was pronounced dead upon arrival.
Jaiprakash’s wife, Laxmi, was informed of the accident by the company shortly after it happened. “They called me to say that Jaiprakash had been injured at work,” Laxmi recounted. Upon reaching TMH, she was devastated to learn of her husband’s death. Meanwhile, Jaiprakash’s father, Gopal Sharma, received the news and rushed to the hospital, only to find no management representatives present to provide support or information.
Gopal Sharma, a resident of Golpahari Jaiprabha Nagar in Parsudih, expressed his frustration, stating, “I tried to contact the management, but no one answered my calls.” He emphasized that Jaiprakash had started his shift at 6 AM that morning and had been a dedicated worker at the company.
According to reports, the accident reportedly occurred due to Jaiprakash getting caught in a hydra, a piece of heavy machinery. Gopal Sharma has since demanded that the management provide a job for his daughter-in-law and compensation for their loss. Jaiprakash is survived by his wife and their two young children, a son and a daughter, leaving the family in a state of grief and uncertainty.
