State prospers if women are happy at home: Kalpana Soren

Chakulia: Kalpana Soren, JMM MLA from Gandey and wife of Chief Minister Hemant Soren, addressed a massive crowd at the Maaiya Samman Yatra rally in Chakulia on Thursday, calling for a shift in Jharkhand’s political landscape. Despite heavy rainfall, thousands of people gathered to hear her speech.

“A daughter is the incarnation of Goddess Lakshmi. Homes will flourish only if women are happy, and when homes flourish, the state prospers,” Kalpana said.

She added, “The presence of so many mothers and sisters, even in this heavy rain, proves that a wave of change is coming. Your blessings are with Hemant Soren.”

Emphasizing the significance of the Maaiya Samman Yatra, which has entered its fourth day, Kalpana spoke about the immense sacrifices mothers and daughters make for their families. She highlighted how the Hemant-led government has recognized these contributions by providing monthly financial support of Rs1,000 to women through various welfare schemes.

Kalpana credited the JMM-led government for elevating the status and dignity of women in Jharkhand, stating that the administration has consistently worked to empower women and improve their lives.

She also criticized the opposition for attempting to block welfare programs initiated by the JMM-led government. The Gandey MLA urged people to support Hemant Soren and bless him with their votes in the upcoming state elections. She encouraged everyone to vote in favor of Hemant Soren, ensuring his return to power and the continued development of the state.

“Hemant Soren is bringing numerous welfare schemes for the people, but the opposition is filing PILs to stop them. In the coming elections, many political tricksters will try to mislead you, but stay vigilant and vote to bring Hemant Soren back to power,” she added.

Kalpana  also accused the Central government of stalling important initiatives like the 27 percent reservation for the backward classes passed by the Jharkhand government. She questioned why the BJP-led Central government has yet to approve it and criticized the Centre for withholding Rs1.36 crore owed to Jharkhand.

The JMM MLA called on the people to unite and fight for the rights of the state. “This is the land of brave heroes. Only by coming together can we ensure development and secure the rights of the people,” she said.

The rally was also attended by Jharkhand’s Minister of Women and Child Development, Baby Devi, MLA Sameer Mohanty, and other prominent leaders. Despite the rain, the massive turnout was seen as a sign of growing support for the Soren government.
