Medical College and hospital to be major components of setup

Jamshedpur, Sept 7: Many a dream is set to be realized and higher educational aspirations to flower into reality as Srinath University is all set to see the light of day across an 80 acre plot at Dobo near Marine Drive in Jamshedpur. The University will be replete with medical college and hospital, engineering college besides various vocational junctions.
At a press meet addressed by Srinath College of Education Chairman Sukhdev Mahto, HoD (B Ed) Dr Monika Uppal and Asst Professor Bhavya Bhushan, it was informed that the new university campus would be ready within three years. The hospital will come up in the first phase.
Chairman Sukhdev Mahto said that a Vice Chancellor would be appointed by the authorities concerned shortly. He stated, “The new session, as per UGC guidelines will commence from October, ’21 and admissions are ongoing. Initially, the university will function from the campus of Srinath College of education at Dindli in Adityapur and will shift to Dobo with the completion of the University campus construction that will come up in a three year time span.”
Dr Monika Uppal stated that the target envisaged was enrollment of 1,000 students and added that the response thus far had been encouraging.
Bhavya Bhushan informed that special career oriented courses in the forms of BA and MA in Yoga and Naturopathy under the School of Health and Allied Sciences as also the School of Fine Art would be the first of their kind in the state and these would ensure that students seeking careers in these streams would not have to venture out for realization of their dreams. “It is our group’s aim to develop Jamshedpur as a prime education hub wherein any subject, any career pursuit and any educational opportunity will be available under one multi-choice canopy.”
