Jamshedpur, April 24 : Jharkhand State Minority Commission (JSMC) newly nominated vice-president Gurdev Singh who took charge on April 17 on Monday said that the commission officials will be holding monthly camps in all the 24 districts.
� The Government is dedicated for the welfare of the people. We will be holding camps across the districts every month to listen to grievance of minority communities. We will be announcing dates in advance so that people can come with their problems before the commission,� said Gurdev Singh, a city-based businessman interacting with media at the Circuit House.
Incidentally, earlier, minority community members had to go to the minority commission office in Ranchi for their grievances.
This apart, senior official of the state minority commission admitted about lack of awareness amongst minority communities about benefits available from state and central government schemes and assured of plans for conducting district-level workshops.
� We want to spread awareness for this we will be conducting district-level workshops at each of the district from next month amongst minority community leaders so that they can reap benefit of Central and state government schemes.
We have decided to hold public hearing in every districts almost every month for the benefit of community members. We will be forming a website also wherein one can register complaints about irregularities in government schemes reaching beneficiaries so that action can be taken against errant administrative officials.,� assured Gurdev Singh.
Sharing his future plans, the vice-chairperson said, �We want to clear salaries of minority unaided school would be topmost priority as this was seriously affecting studies across the state.�
