State HRD to hold Common admission test for B.Ed admission

Jamshedpur : Come 2015 admission in Bachelor of Education ( B.Ed) will be less cumbersome and centralised. The state human resources development department has decided to hold common admission test for B.Ed Admission in Bachelor of Education ( B.Ed) for session 2015.

The decision was taken at a meeting called by the state human resources development department. Officials from all the five universities of the state Sidho-Kanhu Murmu University, Ranchi University, Vinobha Bhave University, Nilamber-Pitamber University and Kolhan University participated to discuss the process of admission test.

D.N. Ojha, director, higher education and other officials decided to conduct a common admission test for B.Ed from 2015-16 session, there will be. Concerned over repeated complains of anomalies in various colleges over the selection process the department decided to hold common test.

Common Entrance Test (B.Ed. CET) is a competitive examination which is conducted by the University on a yearly basis for selecting eligible candidates for admission to the Bachelor Of Education (B.Ed.) course which is a NCTE recognized programme.

The applicant must have secured atleast a 50% marks aggregate in his/her graduation degree examinations. This percentage applies to the Major marks in case of Honours students or aggregate percentage if the same is applied by Pass Course student with no Major Subjects opted for during the course of study.

The relaxation of marks is also applicable for those applicants who are belonging from Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribes, OBC/MOBC and all others who falls under the Physical Disability (PD) category. There is no upper age limit for admission to B. Ed. Courses.

English, Bio. Science, Physics, Chemistry, Math., Geography, History, Work Education, Computer Education are available and the offer of admission will be given as per availability of seats and subjects of the College concerned.
