Jamshedpur: British Council has offered some hope to students who want to study in the UK. Studying abroad, especially in the United Kingdom, remains a dream for many Indian students, but high tuition fees, living expenses, and the challenge of choosing the right university often stand in the way. Addressing these concerns, the British Council has announced the GREAT Scholarships 2026–27, offering new opportunities for Indian students to pursue postgraduate studies in the UK.
Under the scheme, 12 postgraduate scholarships will be available for students from across India. The initiative aims to ease financial barriers while providing structured guidance to deserving candidates seeking international education.
Ritika Chanda Parruck, MBE, Director – Education India at the British Council, said that the GREAT Scholarships play a vital role in strengthening education ties between India and the UK. She added that the programme not only supports academic excellence but also helps students build global networks, accelerate professional growth, and contribute meaningfully to the evolving global economy.
The GREAT Scholarships continue to be a key platform for Indian students aspiring to gain world-class education and international exposure in the UK.
