Jamshedpur, Dec 20: Four shops were gutted in the fire mishap that took place at Sakchi market area on Saturday late night.
BJP leader Abhay Singh who visited the spot on Sunday morning for inspection blamed the state government for the fire tragedy.
“If the state government would have been serious towards the Sairat lands (government lands in commercial areas) then such mishaps would have been reduced as lack of auction has led to shops being set up haphazardly. Even the fire tenders reached the spot a bit late leading to lakhs of properties damaged in the fire. I demand that the government should pay compensation to the shopkeepers whose shops are damaged in fire,” said Singh.
The leader also requested the affected shopkeepers to look for legal action against the government to protest government stand on Sairat lands and promised that BJP activists are with the affected shopkeepers.
