Ranchi, April 26: Chief Minister Raghubar Das on Tuesday said that the poor too have the right to live with honor and self respect. The government is working for this.
He said that the central government has decided to provide home to everyone by 2022 and the state government is trying to provide houses to all by 2019. The housing policy is ready in Jharkhand. The government is going to build houses on PPP mode. The house will comprise two bedrooms, 1 kitchen, 1 bathroom and 1 toilet.
The government is also planning to give rickshaw pullers e-rickshaw under e-Rickshaw Chalak Garima Yojana so that these people can become self-reliant.
Apart from water and electricity, park and marriage hall will also be made. Houses will be constructed in three classes.
He summoned the ward councilors to extend their hand in making the state green and clean. He said that the councilors should take responsibility that not a single house in their area remains without toilet.
He also suggested sitting with local people at intervals of 2-3 months, knowing their problems and sorting them out with the help of Municipal Corporation.
UDD minister C. P. Thakur said that the government is seriously working to provide houses to all. He said that today, 152 houses and 49 e-rickshaws are being distributed among the beneficiaries.
Ranchi mayor Asha Lakra, deputy mayor Sanjeev Vijayvargese, UDD principal secretary Arun Kr. Singh, City Commissioner Prashant Kr. along with councilors and other people were present on this occasion.
