Golfers to vie for Rs 50 lakh prize
Jamshedpur: The city is all set to play host to the 12th Tata Open Golf from December 19 to 22. The four-day event will be hosted at Beldih and Golmuri Golf Courses.
The event is being held under the aegis of Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI); the sixth time in series.
The prize money for the event will be Rs 50 lakhs .
The tournament boasts of an impressive field which includes the likes of India�s international star defending champion Mithun Perera of Sri Lanka, Rolex Rankings leader Chiragh Kumar, Mukesh Kumar, Rashid Khan, Shankar Das, to name a few.
Sunil Bhaskaran, deputy vice president, corporate services, said that the golfing tribe in our city has increased from just a few who were dedicated to the game to hundreds who have made golf a �life-statement.
The game has weathered many a challenge, scaled many a peak and found resounding success. The new 18 holed golf course at Golmuri Golf Course is another feather in our cap that has earned admiration and envy of the golfing community.
