St. Mary’s beats Carmel to lift Invitational football trophy

Jamshedpur, Dec 8: St. Mary’s English School boys were crowned the champions of Carmel Invitational Football Tournament 2014 defeating hosts Carmel Junior College 3-1 in penalty shoot outs at Bal Vihar Ground in Sonari.

Manish Hembrom, Mayank Shekhar and Krishna Pariyar scored the goals during the penalty while Tarapada Mahato was the lone scorer for Carmel. Earlier both the teams ended with 0-0 scoreline after the completion of extra time.

During the final Gordon Young, Director, International Academy was present and distributed the prizes.
