SS Academy students for clean Diwali

Jamshedpur: The pre-Primary students of SS Academy, Baliguma, celebrated Deepawali on the school premises on Wednesday. They lit traditional diyas, made rangolis and shared sweets with each other. A prabhat pheri was also taken out by senior students of the school in Baliguma-Khariya Busti-Dimna area. The purpose of the procession was to create awareness among the people regarding pollution caused by burning firecrackers. The students appealed to the people to celebrate eco-friendly and clean Deepawali. They took a pledge to stay away from firecrackers. Among those present on the occasion included the school secretary Prince Singh, Principal Lata Mankar, Mathura Singh, PN Sharma, Tarveen Masih, Sandeep Singh, Pankaj Kumar, Madhumita Acharya and Neeraj Singh.
