Jamshedpur: The residents of Sriram Ashram in Burmamines have started returning to their houses, courtesy district BJP president Dinesh Kumar who persuaded them to come back. The BJP leader assured protection to all residents of the locality. He said no one will have to leave their house under fear.
The local residents left their houses after being attacked with stones by anti-social elements. Many of them were injured in the stone-pelting incident. After several days, the residents finally came back to their houses on the request of the district BJP president who assured them of police protection.
The BJP leader spoke to Ramyash Prasad, officer in-charge of Burmamines PS and demanded action against the culprits. He said he was assured of action against the culprits by the police officials. He was told that the roof of many houses were broken due to stone pelting. He provided asbestos sheets and new utensils to the affected families in a bid to rehabilitate them.
Many BJP leaders and members of Hindu Jagran Manch were present on this occasion. They included Bhupendra Singh, Suraj Singh, Verma Kansari, Virat Kumar, Amit Sharma, Balvir Mandal, Manish Gautam and Rashmi Mahato.
