Jamshedpur, Jan 19: Steel Strips Wheels Limited distributed 1000 blankets among the poor and needy at Ural Panchayat Middle School on Friday. The distribution programme was inaugurated by Arati Kujur, president of Jharkhand Child Development and Protection Commission. Other dignitaries present on the occasion included Rajesh Jindal, Vinit Agrawal, Vivek Dobhal, Priyesh Kumar of the company. Zila Parishad member Madhav Singh Manki was also present.
The school students welcomed the guests by singing songs and performing dance.
The chief guest praised the company officials for their endeavour. She said such initiatives should be continued for the greater good of the people.
Priyesh Kumar said the company was making efforts to improve education, health and irrigation facilities in the village and also general employment opportunities for the local youths. In the coming days, much more would be done for the local populace, he said.
Other dignitaries present during the programme included CRPF assistant commandant Gauri Prasad Nayak, Ajit Singh Munda, Anjali Lakra, Priyanka and Bhim Singh Munda.
