Srinath University students visit Adityapur Auto Cluster

Jamshedpur, August 4: Srinath University students from the streams of School of Commerce and Management and School of Engineering along with those of B Com,  BBA, MBA and Diploma in Engineering visited Auto Cluster in Adityapur for on hand practical learning. The students were accompanied by Assistant Professor  Aditi Gupta from School of Commerce and Management, Assistant Professor, Jaya Rani Mahato from School of Commerce and Management and Ranjit Kumar, Faculty of Diploma in Engineering.

Aditi Gupta stated, “We consider company visits as the crux of practical learning experience that cannot be provided through the classroom learning process. Such visits are opportunities whereby students can explore and learn new methods and new concepts.”

The students visited the manufacturing tool room observing techniques used in operating machines. They also visited the Metallurgy, Metrology, Electrical and Electronics Workshop, Spectra and Dimension and Calibration laboratories where they observed manufacturing processes. Training and IT Head of Auto Cluster, Mannu Kumar said, “AT Auto Cluster, we manufacture dyes and models of several machines and these are supplied to factories as per their requisitions. We also provide training in electrical, mechanical, Tally and various other courses.”

The Srinath University students learnt about the various courses in which practical training was provided at Auto Cluster.”The Students have observed the working processes of various departments in the company and this will enhance their knowledge base,” said Assistant Professor Jaya Rani Mahato.

Ranjit Kumar, in his observation, mentioned,  “Auto Cluster has a good reputation. Students have keenly noted the work culture of the company in all departments. This will stand them in good stead while they move ahead confidently.”

Mannu Kumar answered queries of students prior to conclusion of the visit. Auto Cluster’s MD, SM Thakur interacted with the faculty members who accompanied the students during the company visit.
