Srinath University Jamshedpur hosts first International Conference on Sustainable Development

Jamshedpur, October 25: The Commerce and Management Department of Srinath University organized the first International Conference, focusing on ‘Emerging Ideas on Sustainable Development Goals.’ The two-day event brought together research scholars from across the country to discuss pressing global challenges. Held in both online and offline formats, the conference commenced with a lamp-lighting ceremony and was graced by the university’s Vice-Chancellor Dr. S.N. Singh, Dean of Academics Dr. Deepak Shukla, and Dean of Administration J. Rajesh, who each underscored the critical nature of sustainable development.

The inaugural address was delivered by Dr. Tipawan Lettathakornkit, Associate Dean from Shinawatra University, Thailand, who spoke on ‘Marketing Strategies to Promote Sustainable Development.’ Dr. Hala Rashad from Ahram Canadian University spoke on “Consumer Behavior and Adoption of Sustainable Products.” The final keynote was presented by Dr. Bharat Kumar Mohar of D.S. College, Katihar, who emphasized sustainable development in accounting and finance.

The conference concluded with a technical session where young researchers presented their work. Dr. Mrityunjay Mahto, Head of the Commerce and Management Department, and his team were instrumental in the event’s success, fostering academic dialogue and actionable strategies for sustainable development.
