Jamshedpur, July 12: Srinath University hosted the District Pickleball Championship organised by the Saraikela District Pickleball Association, bringing together players from different age groups in a competitive sporting event.
The championship featured categories including Under-14, Under-16, Under-19, Senior, 35+ and 50+ for men and women, along with doubles and mixed doubles events. Winners were felicitated with trophies and certificates during the closing ceremony.
In singles events, Ayush Tudu won the Under-14 Boys title, while Bhumika Pandey secured the Under-14 Girls championship. Aryan Tudu and Sristy Mahato emerged winners in the Under-16 Boys and Girls categories respectively.
The Under-19 Singles titles were claimed by Aditya Kumar Singh and Aditi Mishra. In the Senior category, Adarsh Mayank won the Men’s title and Muskan Kumari Yadav won the Women’s championship.
In the 35+ category, Rahul Kumar and Dr. Priti Kiran secured the Men’s and Women’s titles, while Suryajeet Singh won the 50+ Men’s Singles championship.
The tournament also witnessed exciting doubles and mixed doubles matches, showcasing teamwork and competitive spirit among participants.
The Best Player awards were presented to outstanding performers across categories, including Ayush Tudu, Bhumika Pandey, Aryan Tudu, Sristy Mahato, Aditya Kumar Singh, Aditi Mishra, Adarsh Mayank, Muskan Kumari Yadav, Rahul Kumar, Dr. Priti Kiran and Suryajeet Singh.
The event concluded successfully, with participants and officials appreciating Srinath University’s efforts in promoting pickleball and providing a platform for players of all age groups.
