Jamshedpur, August 16: The spirit of patriotism reached a crescendo as the management, faculty members and students rendered the national anthem after Chief Guest, District Mining Officer Sanjay Kumar Sharma had unfurled the Tricolour during the celebration of the 77th Independence Day organized jointly by Srinath University and Srinath College of Education at the Institutional campus.
Among the dignitaries present on the occasion werethe Founder of Srinath University, Shambhu Mahto, the University’s Chancellor Sukhdev Mahato, Vice Chancellor Dr Govind Mahato, Pro-Chancellor Gurudev Mahto, Principal of Srinath College of Education Dr Balabhadra Jena and Trustee of Srinath University, Moumita Mahto along with the faculty members, staff and students of both institutions. The Chief Guest on the occasion was District Mining Officer, Sanjay Kumar Sharma while the Guest of Honour was Mining Inspector, Sunil Kumar Singh. as well as students and faculty members.
The flag hoisting ceremony was followed by planting of a variety of saplings by the Chief Guest. To add further zest to the prevailing celebratory milieu, was a Rangoli competition organized for students of both the Srinath institutions. The Rangoli designs were based on the twin themes of ‘Vision of Independent India,’ and ‘Unity in Diversity.’
A cultural program was organized to commemorate the 77th Independence Day. Students Adarsh Singh and Neha Prasad anchored the show.
Head of the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, Dr Mithilesh Kumar offered the vote of thanks.
